Carlee presented on school violence and the education needed to prevent it. The above clip is full of school violence statistics that are very eye opening. In class, she also showed a map of the United States. Approximately 10 states were not colored in red, meaning that a school shooting had NOT taken place there. WV was one of the ten.

I believe as a parent this subject needs to be taught to our kids.We as a nation have forgotten how to treat other people with compassion.Our kids belive if you dont look a certain way or act a certain way then they dont want nothing to do with that person.I say we need to go back to having our mothers at home to teach our kids values.We are leaving them to teach themselves off of the T.V.
This subject definitely needs to be taught to our kids. We fear what we don't understand and what is different from our everyday lives. Therefore, we have to educate ourselves and each other. Knowledge is power. It is a group effort. They say it takes a village to raise a child; I believe it.
